The Short Version

Sealed Flow is designed from the ground up to protect your privacy. The app runs 100% locally on your Mac—your voice and text never leave your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit your dictation data. Ever.

What We Don't Collect

  • Usage patterns or analytics from the app
  • Any content you create using Sealed Flow

The Whisker AI model runs entirely on your device. There are no API calls, no cloud processing, and no data transmission.

What We Do Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to operate our business:

Website Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. This includes anonymous page views and basic device information. No personal data is collected.

Payment Information

When you purchase a license, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your email address to deliver your license key and for customer support. We do not store your payment card details—Stripe handles all payment processing securely.

Email Communications

If you join our waitlist or make a purchase, we store your email address to send you product updates and your license key. We use Resend to deliver emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

License Verification

Your license key is verified locally using cryptographic signatures. The app does not "phone home" to verify your license—it works completely offline.

App Updates & Model Downloads

The app makes network requests to Cloudflare to check for updates, download app updates, and download AI models. These requests include only the information necessary to serve the files (IP address, which is not logged by us). App builds and models are hosted on Cloudflare's global CDN. No personal data or usage information is transmitted during these requests.

Crash Reporting (Opt-In)

During onboarding, you may choose to enable anonymous crash reporting. This is entirely opt-in and disabled by default. If enabled, we collect crash logs and error reports through Sentry to help us identify and fix bugs. These reports include:

  • Error messages and stack traces
  • App version and macOS version
  • Device type (e.g., MacBook Pro M2)

Crash reports never include your voice recordings, transcribed text, or any dictation content. You can enable or disable crash reporting at any time in the app settings.

Third-Party Services

Data Retention

We retain your email address and purchase records for as long as your license is active, or as required by law. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us.
